The Learning Annex
I got this, er, brochure thing in the mail a couple months ago or so. Found it again whilst cleaning my squalor a little bit. It's an advertisement for a (somewhat) quack education joint called The Learning Annex, in the guise of a magazine. I wish it could be amusing to look at this crap, but it was in truth profoundly worrying. The fact that stupid crap like this can not only survive, but thrive explosively means that our society is mainly a ship of fools, and that's a scary thought. Considering how we're stuck on it, likely forever.

Some highlights from that Learning Annex brochure... Right at the first page is the "True Power of Water" lecture by Masaru Emoto, which is apparently even loopier than the homeopath rubbish (if that's even possible). He apparently preaches that water has magical qualities which react to human will or some shit like that, you see.
Some pages in (past topics like "T-shirt entrepreneurs can make MILLIONS!" and "Make Money Blogging" - don't look at me, I still haven't figured out adsense), there are the gems called "Talk to your Angel Guides" (ooh, "discover your angel's name" - I'm actually quite curious what those idiots would tell me) and "Discover Your Destiny with Numerology... Stupid Taxes, in other words. And further still, I was accosted by this monstrosity (that same exact picture, mind you) - a particularly horrifying Clown Hall-of-Famer Barry Lubin in full warpaint and full clownonic regalia. Title of the course? "Become a Children's Entertainer". Then there's psychic powers, past-life regression, a whole mess of nonsense about getting published for which there are many free guides out there... I think I've had quite enough of this silliness for one blog post's worth.
